Our story

The Meyer family has been making candy since 1904

Homemade chocolates and candies, made the way the family has always made them, now at 637 Wyckoff Avenue in Wyckoff.

Since 1904

From a Jersey City luncheonette to Wyckoff Avenue

Meyer’s Ice Cream and Confection started in Jersey City in 1904, and later assumed the family name of Van Holten’s. Since then the Meyer family has been making some of New Jersey’s finest homemade chocolates and candies.

Known for freshness and quality, we can still claim one of the largest selections available. Our creams are still poured by hand, as are our jellies and caramels. We care more because our name is on the door.

Certified nut free

A nut-free selection, certified

Part of what we make is nut free and carries its own certification, so a box can go to a house where nuts are not an option. Tell us when you order and we will pack from that selection.
